sleep tonight
I had much more to say about Stars about two hours ago, but I've spent the last hour and a half trying to figure out why my ITunes decided to crash and take all my playlists with it (which is, not surpisingly, difficult when I can't seem to connect to Apple.com - thankfully all my actual music files are safe and sound - knock on wood). They played for about an hour and a half... they were really good. If you didn't go, you totally dropped the ball.
The Thurston Revival played first... think new-wave rockabilly (I think I just made up a genre name there).
Bontempi played second... think Tegan and Sara... but with one guitar and more keys... and with vaguely Carrie Brownstein-esque riffage on occassion. Their fast ones were much more engaging than there slow ones.
That's it for now. I'm going to go to bed. Then tomorrow I'm going to fix my ITunes.
now playing: Stars - Reunion

Ha! Judging from your camera angles, you and I weren't to far from each other.
Stars were wonderful, Bontempi were awful.

, atI wish they would have done an all ages afternoon show. I would have been all over that.
i agree with quinn, bontempi's fast songs were more enjoyable than their slower ones. after they played 2 songs, i was so ready to get their EP. but when i trotted over to the merchandise counter, the guy said he couldn't sell them and that i'd have to wait until after the set, when one of the bontempis would be behind the counter selling the EPs personally. too bad, because their set went downhill (not bad, but as in they started off strong and then kind of trailed off) from there. suffice to say, i didn't get the EP.
as for thurston revival, i commented to my friend that they might have showed up at the wrong concert because i didn't picture stars fans getting into their type of music. plus, what band plays a song twice in the same set within the same half-hour? and i swear, one of their songs sounds like "my generation".
