Why don't we start with good news for noise fans:
From March 24th-28th, the Western Front, Casa del Artista, and Lick play host to the Fake Jazz Festival. The line-up features many of the bands that have graced the old Cobalt stage on Wednesdays past and will grace the stage at Lick, Fake Jazz Wednesday's new home, as well as a performance by KK Null. Passes are $25 at Audiopile or the Western Front. For more (like the full line-up) check out the Western Front website or the Facebook event.
Broken Sleep, Empty Love, Glaciers, and Nervous Operator play Blim tomorrow (Friday, in case you're reading this tomorrow) for Quiet City, a benefit for CFRO.
Lost Lovers Brigade, Bedroom's of the Nation, Hermetic, and Kidnap Kids play the Media Club on March 20th.
Captain Ahab, the Squareroot of Evil, Tik Tik, and Baboon Torture Division play Roy G Biv on March 22nd.
Hercules and Love Affair are doing a DJ set at Shine on April Fool's Day.
Congress, Sports, and Taxes play the Astoria on April 9th. It's Taxes first show in Vancouver in forever... and probably their last one for awhile.
The same night, the Ruby Suns, Toro Y Moi, and No Gold play the Biltmore. It'll also be No Gold's first show after a lengthy layoff.
Charlotte Gainsbourg plays the Vogue on April 11th.
Red Hot Icicles Burning On Fire, Bench/Dawn Optimist, So You Think You Can Sleep, and Eeek play Little Mountain on April 16th.
The same night, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Makeout Videotape, and Petroleum By-Product play the Rickshaw.
Japandroids, No Gold, and Babe Rainbow play Lifetime Collective on April 30th.
