another sunny day
Look at that. Two posts in one day. This news was too awesome, not to post right away.
Belle and Sebastian hit the Commodore on March 24th.
Edit: Pitchfork is now reporting that The New Pornographers will not be playing the Vancouver date. Sorry if I got your hopes up... I got my hopes up too, if that's any consolation. Thanks to Frank for the headsup, and to quote the PFork, "The New Pornos drop off the tour one random random show in Vancouver. Wait, aren't Carl Newman and co. from Vancouver? What gives?"

actually, I've heard the New Pornographers won't be at the Vancouver show. Maybe it'll be worth the jaunt to Seattle?

I'm up for both the Vancouver and Seattle shows if anyone (with a car) cares to come along...
(will I ever see the New Pornographers in our own fair country? What gives??)

Quinn, what are the chances of The Stills at the Pit and the B&S show being all ages? Please tell me at least one of them is....
By 9:31 p.m.

, atThanks Graham. I kind of figured, but thought I'd ask in case. A girl can always hope, can't she? :\

, atMaybe the reason that NP aren't playnig the Vancouver date of the tour are that, B & S are afraid of being upstaged by the NP. Hmmmm. ;-)

, atJust don't get B&S. Saw them at Coachella and they literally put me to sleep on the grass. Granted it was the second day, about 36 degrees and I'd had a lot to drink...still, when I want fey, I go to the masters: the Pastels.

, ati just got the new b&s album, the life pursuit. i'm slightly disappointed. it sounds a lot different than their past work, which i appreciate, but the best tracks are the ones that stay the course. i do, however, like the new live if you're feeling sinister album release and they put on a good performance in sf awhile back, so i think the show will be worth it.
