Bison are at Pub 340 tomorrow night to celebrate the release of their new disc and to kick off their forthcoming tour. Grass City, Cobra, and Hagatha open.
The Neins Circa are at Hoko's on Saturday with Hefe. The evening will also host Hoko's first "Karaoke Battle Royale." Look for me. I'll be singing "Immigrant Song." That may or may not be a joke, I'm not sure yet.
Speaking of the Neins Circa, you can also catch them opening for Dyad at the Media Club on July 19th along with Portico and headlining a show with Roger Dean Young & the Tin Cup on August 22nd at the Railway.
While we're keeping it local, Fake Shark Real Zombie are at the Balmoral on July 27th with Ludvico Treatment, Denderah, and Adjective. They're also set to open for Mindless Self Indulgence at the CCC on July 23rd.
The Ludvico Treament are also doing an all-ager this Saturday at Jem Gallery with Dead Film Stars. The show starts at 5pm which is a little early in rock n roll time, but it's free, and you can't really argue with free.
Diplo is in town with Switch on September 23rd. The downside is that they'll be spinning at Plush.
Aesop Rock is at the Commodore on October 26th with Black Moth Super Rainbow.
Supersuckers are at the Red Room on September 25th.
Black Lips are at Richard's on October 11th.
k-os is playing Malkin Bowl with You Say Party! We Say Die! on September 1st.
Jason Isbell (formerly of the Drive by Truckers) is at the Media Club on August 2nd with Leeroy Stagger.
Matthew Dear is at the Media Club on October 21st, where he'll perform live with his new band, Big Hands.

Backpack rap and hippie jams, together at last? That's got to be the weirdest pairing I've ever seen.
