...you say 'yeah'
Today's post will centre around the word "fuck."
Namely, that Fuck Buttons are no longer set to open for Holy Fuck, but will open for Caribou. In their place on the 25th, will be the Clips, which should make you exclaim, "fuck yes," if you have tickets to Richard's that night.
That paragraph would have filled me with glee when I was 12.
The Good News are at the Biltmore on February 23rd with Paul Devro and Expendable Youth for a ChalkedUp soiree.
Continuing with the recent trend of Fridays that are overstuffed with great things to do. In addition to the CJSF anniversary party at the Biltmore and the Chris-a-riffic CD release at the Secret Space...
No Gold plays the Astoria with Defektors and Dead Ghosts.
Sex Attack! celebrate a whole year of firing up Tracktor while they Facebook your girlfriend and never touch a record with Crooks & Gunn at No Tofu. They're calling it a rave, so they're providing the glowsticks. It's still BYOE though.
Pyramid Power is celebrating the release of its latest issue at the Emergency Room. Cam Dales and Dani Brown play records.
Speaking of Dani, the Makeout is calling it quits after tomorrow night at the Unicorn.
Speaking of the Unicorn, Technotown Boogiedown takes place this Thursday with Baboon Torture Division, Kids Get Hit by Buses, and the Swords of Righteousness Brigade.
On Saturday, the Parallels headline the evening with Safety Show, Hermetic, and Los Malos at the Astoria. (thanks to Eric for the update and for his patience with my forgetfulness)
Modern Creatures, Nu Sensae, N213, and Mutators (who will play as "Spanish Kids") are giving me a good excuse to finally check out what Honey is like for shows on February 21st.
Shearing Pinx play on February 22nd with Mattress, the Doers, and Stamina Mantis at 340.
And they're with Mutators and Monotonix (who are coming all the way from Tel Aviv) on the 23rd at the Emergency Room.
Bob Wiseman is at the Biltmore on March 27th with Bob Snider, and personal faves, the Abramson Singers.
Tapes n Tapes emerge from the internet hype machine in tact. They're at Richard's on May 13th with White Denim. (via PFork)
Say Hi (formerly "...to Your Mom") are at the Unicorn on February 16th.
Peter Moren (of Bjorn and John fame) is at the Biltmore on April 28th.
The Presets are at the Plaza on May 24th. I'm sure I'll say this many times between now and the line-up announcement, but that's right around Sasquatch time.
