never get old
I made it down to the Astoria late last night to catch most of Colourbook. It seemed like every time they made it over from the island for a show, I already had tickets to something else, so I was pretty psyched to finally check them out. They'd been recommended by multiple friends and last night explained that. The game's back on, so I'll leave it at that.
Tomorrow, Aunts and Uncles (featuring members of the SSRIs, Friends from School, the Rub, and the Barcelona Chair) play their debut show at the Media Club. They'll open for Koro Kidinga and Man Your Horse, with Ford Pier rounding out the bill.
The guys behind Ice Cream Social are throwing a party at the Rio on April 18th. They'll be spinning, of course, but there'll also be a screening of Hard Day's Night and "the Ice Cream Socialites" (Ice Cream Social DJs Trevor Risk and Justin Gradin along with Louise Burns) will play a set of cover tunes live.
And a reminder that April 15th is the deadline to submit to Music Waste: submissions@musicwaste.ca
now playing: the Canucks vs. Avs
Labels: colourbook, lazy show recaps, show announcements
